2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

For the Mac and Cheese:

8 ounces elbow macaroni

2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1 cup milk

1/4 cup butter

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

For the Burgers:

1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend for juiciness)

Salt and pepper to taste

4 hamburger buns

4 slices of crispy bacon (optional)

Pickles (for garnish)

Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

Make the BBQ Sauce:

    - In a medium saucepan, combine the ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper.

      - Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Cook for about 10 minutes until thickened. Remove from heat and set aside.

        Prepare the Mac and Cheese:

          - Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

            - In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour to create a roux, cooking for about 1 minute.

              - Gradually add in the milk while whisking continuously until the mixture is smooth and begins to thicken.

                - Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until the cheese is completely melted and the sauce is creamy.

                  - Fold in the cooked macaroni, mixing until well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

                    Cook the Burgers:

                      - Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.

                        - Form the ground beef into four equal patties. Season each side generously with salt and pepper.

                          - Grill the burgers for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness. If you are using bacon, cook it separately until crispy and set aside.

                            Assemble the Burgers:

                              - Toast the hamburger buns lightly on the grill or in the skillet.

                                - Start with the bottom bun, add a generous scoop of the mac and cheese, then place the grilled burger patty on top.

                                  - Drizzle the warm BBQ sauce over the burger and mac and cheese. If using, add a slice of crispy bacon.

                                    - Top with pickles and fresh parsley, then finish with the top bun.

                                      Serve:

                                        - Serve immediately with fries or coleslaw on the side for a perfect BBQ meal experience!
