Turkey Tacos with Mango Slaw

1 lb ground turkey

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon chili powder

1 teaspoon cumin

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/4 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

8 small corn tortillas

1 cup shredded green cabbage

1 cup shredded carrots

1 ripe mango, diced

1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

Juice of 1 lime

1 tablespoon honey (optional)

Sliced avocado, for garnish

Lime wedges, for serving

Prepare the Mango Slaw: In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, shredded carrots, diced mango, and chopped cilantro. In a small bowl, whisk together the lime juice and honey (if using), and season with a pinch of salt. Pour the dressing over the slaw and toss until well combined. Set it aside to let the flavors meld.

    Cook the Turkey: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground turkey and cook for about 5 minutes, breaking it up with a spatula. Once it's no longer pink, stir in the chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the turkey is well coated with the spices and heated through.

      Warm the Tortillas: While the turkey is cooking, warm the corn tortillas. You can do this by placing them on a dry skillet over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side, or wrapping them in foil and placing them in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes.

        Assemble the Tacos: To assemble the tacos, place a generous spoonful of the turkey mixture onto each tortilla. Top with a handful of the mango slaw and a few slices of avocado.

          Serve: Serve immediately with lime wedges on the side for extra flavor.
