Ingredients

For the Tuna Skewers:

1 lb fresh sushi-grade tuna, cut into 1-inch cubes

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lime juice

2 teaspoons honey

1 teaspoon minced garlic

1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger

Salt and pepper, to taste

8-10 skewers (if wooden, soak in water for 30 minutes)

For the Mango Salsa:

1 ripe mango, diced

1/2 red onion, finely chopped

1 small red chili, deseeded and finely chopped (adjust based on spice preference)

1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

Juice of 1 lime

Salt, to taste

Instructions

Marinate the Tuna: In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, soy sauce, lime juice, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, salt, and pepper. Add the tuna cubes and gently toss to coat evenly. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

Prepare the Mango Salsa: In a separate bowl, combine diced mango, red onion, chopped chili, cilantro, lime juice, and a pinch of salt. Mix well, taste, and adjust seasoning if necessary. Set aside.

Assemble the Skewers: Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Thread marinated tuna cubes onto the soaked skewers, leaving a little space between each piece for even cooking.

Grill the Tuna Skewers: Place the skewers on the hot grill and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the tuna is seared on the outside but remains slightly pink in the center.

Serve: Remove the skewers from the grill and let them cool for a minute. Serve the tuna skewers warm with a generous helping of mango salsa on the side.

Enjoy: Pair with a fresh salad or serve them as an appetizer for a tropical-themed gathering!
