S’mores Bars with Graham Cracker Crust

1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs

½ cup granulated sugar

½ cup unsalted butter, melted

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk

1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

1 cup mini marshmallows

½ cup milk chocolate bars, chopped

¼ teaspoon sea salt (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Preheat and Prepare: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x9 inch baking pan with parchment paper, allowing some overhang to make it easier to lift the bars out later.

    Make the Crust: In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Stir in the vanilla extract until everything is well combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared baking pan to form an even crust.

      Bake the Crust: Place the crust in the preheated oven and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and set aside to cool slightly.

        Prepare the Filling: In a separate bowl, pour the sweetened condensed milk over the warm crust. Sprinkle the semisweet chocolate chips evenly across the top of the condensed milk layer.

          Add Marshmallows and Chocolate: Evenly distribute the mini marshmallows and the chopped milk chocolate bars over the chocolate chips and condensed milk layer.

            Bake Again: Return the pan to the oven and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the marshmallows are golden brown and the chocolate is melted.

              Cool and Serve: Once done, remove the pan from the oven and allow the bars to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack. Once cool, use the parchment overhang to lift the bars out of the pan. Cut into squares or rectangles.

                Finish with Sea Salt: Before serving, lightly sprinkle the top of the bars with sea salt to enhance the sweetness.
