For the Chicken Fajitas:

1 pound chicken breast, sliced into thin strips

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon chili powder

1 teaspoon cumin

1 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 red bell pepper, sliced

1 green bell pepper, sliced

1 medium onion, sliced

Juice of 1 lime

Fresh cilantro, for garnish

8 small flour or corn tortillas

For the Avocado Cream:

1 ripe avocado

1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt

Juice of 1 lime

Salt, to taste

Instructions
 

Prepare the Avocado Cream:

    - In a blender or food processor, combine the ripe avocado, sour cream (or Greek yogurt), lime juice, and salt. Blend until smooth and creamy. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Set aside.

      Season the Chicken:

        - In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced chicken with olive oil, chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Ensure the chicken is evenly coated with the spices.

          Cook the Chicken:

            - Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the seasoned chicken strips to the skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is fully cooked and has a slight char. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

              Sauté the Vegetables:

                - In the same skillet, add the sliced bell peppers and onions. Sauté them for about 4-5 minutes, or until they are tender but still vibrant. Squeeze lime juice over the veggies during the last minute of cooking for added flavor.

                  Combine Everything:

                    - Return the cooked chicken to the skillet with the sautéed vegetables. Toss everything together to combine and heat through for another 1-2 minutes. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.

                      Warm the Tortillas:

                        - In a separate dry skillet over medium heat, warm the tortillas for about 30 seconds on each side or until pliable.

                          Assemble the Fajitas:

                            - To assemble, layer some of the chicken and vegetable mixture on a warm tortilla, drizzle with avocado cream, and top with fresh cilantro.
