1/2 cup breadcrumbs

1/4 cup milk

1/4 cup finely chopped onion

1 clove garlic, minced

1 egg, beaten

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

For the Mushroom Gravy:

2 cups sliced mushrooms

1 cup beef broth

1 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp all-purpose flour

1 tbsp butter

1/2 tsp dried thyme

Prepare the Burger Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, chopped onion, minced garlic, beaten egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined, avoiding overmixing.

    Form Patties: Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and form each into a patty about 1/2 inch thick. Set aside.

      Cook the Patties: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until they develop a nice golden crust and are cooked through. Remove the patties from the skillet and set aside, keeping them warm.

        Make the Mushroom Gravy: In the same skillet, add the butter and sliced mushrooms. Sauté for about 5 minutes until the mushrooms are browned. Sprinkle the flour over the mushrooms and stir to combine. Cook for another minute.
