Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 tablespoons butter

3 cloves garlic, minced

Juice and zest of 1 large lemon

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 teaspoon dried dill

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Prepare the Marinade: In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic, oregano, thyme, dill, salt, and pepper. This will serve as both a marinade and a cooking sauce.

Marinate the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour half of the marinade over them, making sure they are well coated. Let them marinate for about 15 minutes while you preheat your skillet.

Heat the Skillet: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the butter and let it melt, swirling it around to coat the bottom of the skillet.

Cook the Salmon: Once the butter is hot and bubbly, carefully place the marinated salmon fillets skin-side down in the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes without moving them to develop a nice sear.

Flip and Add Marinade: Gently flip the salmon fillets using a spatula. Pour the remaining marinade over the top of the fillets. Allow them to cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

Serve: Remove the skillet from heat. Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley over the salmon and serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.
