Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)

1/4 cup balsamic vinegar

2 tablespoons honey

2 tablespoons soy sauce

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon olive oil

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Prepare the Marinade: In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the balsamic vinegar, honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, olive oil, salt, and pepper until fully combined.

Marinate the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the salmon, ensuring each fillet is well-coated. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes (or up to 1 hour for more intense flavor) in the refrigerator.

Heat a Skillet: In a large skillet, heat a splash of olive oil over medium-high heat until it shimmers.

Cook the Salmon: Remove the salmon from the marinade (reserve the marinade) and place the fillets skin-side down in the hot skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes, then carefully flip the fillets over.

Add the Marinade: Pour the reserved marinade over the salmon fillets in the skillet and allow it to bubble and reduce, cooking the salmon for an additional 3-4 minutes. The salmon should be cooked to your desired doneness; it should flake easily with a fork.

Garnish and Serve: Remove the salmon from the skillet and transfer it to a serving plate. Drizzle the thickened balsamic glaze over the top and sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley. Serve with lemon wedges on the side for a fresh zing.
