Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably Panko for extra crunch)

2 teaspoons dried Italian herbs (or a mix of oregano, basil, and thyme)

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper, to taste

2 large eggs

2 tablespoons milk

½ cup all-purpose flour

Olive oil, for brushing

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Prepare the Breading Station: In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until combined. In another bowl, mix the grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, dried Italian herbs, minced garlic, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Place the all-purpose flour in a third bowl.

Season the Chicken: Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels and season both sides generously with salt and pepper.

        Coat the Chicken:

          - Dredge each chicken breast in the flour, shaking off any excess.

            - Dip it into the egg mixture, allowing the excess to drip off.

              - Then, press the chicken into the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring a thick and even coating.

Arrange on Baking Sheet: Place the coated chicken breasts on the prepared baking sheet. Lightly brush the tops with olive oil to enhance browning.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the crust is golden and crispy. Chicken should reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).

Serve: Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve with a side of roasted vegetables or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
