Ingredients

For the Cinnamon Roll Dough:

2 ½ cups all-purpose flour

½ cup granulated sugar

1 packet (2 ¼ teaspoons) active dry yeast

½ teaspoon salt

¾ cup warm milk (about 110°F)

¼ cup unsalted butter, melted

1 large egg

½ teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Oreo Filling:

½ cup brown sugar, packed

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

¼ cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup coarsely crushed Oreo cookies (about 8 cookies)

For the Cream Cheese Frosting:

4 oz cream cheese, softened

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

1 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1-2 tablespoons milk (adjust for consistency)

Crushed Oreo cookies for topping (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Dough:

    - In a large bowl, combine warm milk and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it starts to foam.

      - Add the melted butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract to the yeast mixture. Mix well.

        - Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until a soft dough forms.

          - Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

            - Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth or plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

              Make the Filling:

                - In a small bowl, combine brown sugar and ground cinnamon.

                  - Roll out the risen dough on a floured surface into a rectangle (approximately 15x10 inches). Spread the softened butter all over the surface of the dough, leaving a small border.

                    - Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the buttered dough evenly, then sprinkle the crushed Oreo cookies on top.

                      Roll and Cut the Dough:

                        - Starting from the long side, roll the dough tightly into a log. Pinch the seam to seal.

                          - Cut the log into 12 equal pieces using a sharp knife or dental floss for a clean cut.

                            - Place the rolls in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish or on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, making sure they are spaced out to allow for rising.

                              Second Rise:

                                - Cover the rolls with a cloth and let them rise for another 30 minutes until puffed.

                                  Bake the Rolls:

                                    - Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.

                                      - Remove from oven and let them cool slightly in the pan.

                                        Prepare the Cream Cheese Frosting:

                                          - In a medium bowl, whip together softened cream cheese and butter until smooth.

                                            - Gradually add in powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until combined. If the frosting is too thick, add milk one tablespoon at a time until the desired consistency is reached.

                                              Frost and Serve:

                                                - Drizzle the cream cheese frosting over the warm cinnamon rolls. For an extra treat, sprinkle crushed Oreo cookies on top.

                                                  - Serve warm and enjoy your delicious Oreo Cookies and Cream Cinnamon Rolls!
