Ingredients

4 (6 oz) salmon fillets, skin-on

3 cups broccoli florets

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium preferred)

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon sesame oil

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)

2 green onions, chopped (for garnish, optional)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Prepare the Marinade: In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, olive oil, and sesame oil. This will be the glaze and marinade for the salmon.

Marinate the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or a zip-lock bag. Pour half of the marinade over the fillets, ensuring each piece is well coated. Allow to marinate for at least 15 minutes at room temperature.

Prepare the Broccoli: While the salmon is marinating, toss the broccoli florets with a drizzle of olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread the broccoli evenly on one side of a large baking sheet.

Add Salmon to the Baking Sheet: After marinating, remove the salmon from the marinade and place it skin-side down on the other side of the baking sheet.

Bake: Pour the remaining marinade over the salmon and broccoli. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork, and the broccoli is tender.

Garnish and Serve: Remove the baking sheet from the oven. Sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped green onions over the salmon and broccoli for garnish. Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side for an extra zing of flavor.
