Ingredients

For the crust:

1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs

½ cup unsalted butter, melted

1 tablespoon granulated sugar

¼ teaspoon salt

For the cheesecake filling:

16 oz (2 packages) cream cheese, softened

¾ cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup sour cream

½ cup Nutella (plus extra for swirling)

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C). Line an 8x8-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal later.

Make the crust: In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, sugar, and salt. Stir until the mixture resembles wet sand.

Press the crust into the pan: Firmly pack the crust mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Use the back of a measuring cup to ensure it's even and compact. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. Remove and allow to cool slightly while preparing the filling.

Prepare the filling: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy (about 2-3 minutes). Gradually add in the sugar and continue to beat until well combined.

Incorporate the eggs: Add the eggs one at a time, mixing after each addition until fully incorporated. Then mix in the vanilla extract and sour cream until the mixture is smooth.

Swirl in the Nutella: Pour about half of the cheesecake batter over the cooled crust. Then, take ¼ cup of Nutella and drop spoonfuls over the batter. Use a skewer or knife to gently swirl the Nutella into the cheesecake batter.

Add the rest of the batter: Pour the remaining cheesecake batter over the Nutella-swirl layer. Again, dollop some more Nutella on top and swirl gently for a marbled effect.

Bake the cheesecake bars: Place in the preheated oven and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center still has a slight jiggle.

Cool and chill: Remove from the oven and let it cool to room temperature. Once cooled, refrigerate for at least 4 hours (or overnight) to set fully.

Serve: Once chilled, lift the bars out using the parchment paper. Cut into squares and enjoy your Nutella swirl cheesecake bars! For an extra touch, drizzle melted Nutella on top before serving.
