Ingredients

1 cup almond flour

1/2 cup cocoa powder

1/2 cup maple syrup (or honey)

1/4 cup coconut oil, melted

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup chocolate chips (dark, semi-sweet, or dairy-free)

1/4 cup crushed nuts (optional, for extra crunch)

1/2 cup shredded coconut (optional, for rolling)

Instructions

Combine Dry Ingredients: In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the almond flour, cocoa powder, and salt until well combined.

Mix Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, combine the melted coconut oil, maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Stir until the mixture is smooth and uniform.

Combine Mixtures: Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring continuously until everything is well incorporated. The mixture should be thick and resemble brownie batter.

Add Chocolate Chips: Fold in the chocolate chips and crushed nuts if desired, mixing until evenly distributed throughout the batter.

Shape the Truffles: Using your hands, scoop out a tablespoon of the brownie batter and roll it into a ball. Place it on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Repeat this step until all the batter is shaped into truffles.

Chill: Transfer the baking sheet to the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the truffles to firm up.

Roll in Coconut (optional): Once chilled, you can roll the truffles in shredded coconut for an added texture and flavor if desired.

Serve: Store the truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to serve. Enjoy these decadent bites chilled or at room temperature!
