1 lb (450g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1 large egg

1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup marinara sauce

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 tsp Italian seasoning

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Cooking spray or olive oil spray

Prep the Chicken: Begin by cutting the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces, approximately 1-inch cubes. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning for maximum flavor.

    Set Up Breading Station: Prepare three bowls for breading:

      - In the first bowl, place the all-purpose flour.

        - In the second bowl, crack the egg and whisk it lightly.

          - In the third bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs with grated Parmesan cheese, mixing well.

            Bread the Chicken: Start by coating each piece of chicken in flour, shaking off any excess. Then dip it into the egg, allowing any excess to drip off. Finally, roll the chicken in the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring it's thoroughly coated. Repeat for all pieces.
