Ingredients

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

2 oz cream cheese

1 large egg

1 ½ cups almond flour

1 tsp baking powder

2 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp Italian seasoning

½ tsp salt

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Marinara sauce for dipping (sugar-free, optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy removal.

Melt the Cheeses: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the shredded mozzarella cheese and cream cheese. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until completely melted and smooth. This should take about 1-1.5 minutes.

Prepare the Dough: In a separate bowl, whisk together the almond flour, baking powder, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and salt. Once combined, pour the melted cheese mixture into the dry ingredients.

Add Egg and Mix: Add the egg to the mixture and combine until a dough forms. You may need to knead it a bit with your hands to make sure everything is well incorporated. The dough should be slightly sticky.

Shape the Breadsticks: Transfer the dough to the lined baking sheet. Using your hands, flatten the dough into a rectangle about ½ inch thick. You can create lines to mark where you will cut the breadsticks for easier serving later.

Add Cheese Topping: Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the top of the dough. For extra garlic flavor, feel free to add more garlic powder if desired.

Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 12-15 minutes or until the edges are golden and the top is bubbly.

Cool and Cut: Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Cut into breadsticks along the lines you created earlier.

Serve and Enjoy: Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley on top if desired. Serve warm with a side of sugar-free marinara sauce for dipping.

Prep Time: 10 minutes | Total Time: 30 minutes | Servings: 8 breadsticks
