Ingredients

1 pound ground beef or turkey

1 large onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

3 cups diced potatoes (about 2-3 medium potatoes)

1 can (15 oz) mixed vegetables, drained (or 2 cups fresh veggies like carrots and peas)

1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup

½ cup milk

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook the Meat: In a large skillet, brown the ground beef or turkey over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onion is translucent and the meat is no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.

Prepare the Veggies: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked meat mixture, diced potatoes, mixed vegetables, cream of mushroom soup, milk, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until everything is well combined.

Transfer to Casserole Dish: Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch casserole dish, spreading it evenly.

Add Cheese: Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top of the casserole.

Bake: Cover the casserole dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

Garnish and Serve: Once done, remove from the oven and let it sit for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving.
