Instructions

Prepare the Oven:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper for easy removal.

      Make the Cake Base:

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In another bowl, mix melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and milk until combined. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just mixed. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.

          Prepare the Chocolate Layer:

In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and coconut oil. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until melted and smooth. Pour the melted chocolate over the cake base and spread it evenly. Use a spatula to gently swirl the chocolate into the cake batter.

              Make the Strawberry Layer:

In a small saucepan, combine the strawberry puree, sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Heat over medium-low heat until it thickens slightly, stirring constantly (about 5 minutes). Pour the strawberry mixture over the chocolate layer and spread evenly.

                  Prepare the Vanilla Layer:

In a separate bowl, beat together softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth and creamy. Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the strawberry layer and swirl lightly with a toothpick for a marbled effect.

                      Bake the Bars:

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. The edges should be lightly golden. Allow to cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then lift out using the parchment paper and let it cool completely on a wire rack.

                          Serve:

Once completely cooled, cut into squares. For added flair, top with whipped cream, halved strawberries, and chocolate shavings before serving.
