Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup fresh herbs (such as chives, parsley, and thyme), finely chopped

1 cup buttermilk

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

Extra cheese for topping (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder until well combined.

Add Cheeses and Herbs: Gently fold in the shredded cheddar, grated Parmesan, and chopped herbs until evenly distributed throughout the flour mixture.

Combine Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, mix the buttermilk and melted butter together.

Mix Wet and Dry: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture. Stir gently with a spatula or wooden spoon until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; some floury bits are okay.

Drop the Dough: Using a spoon or ice cream scoop, drop heaping tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Add Extra Cheese (Optional): If you want an extra cheesy topping, sprinkle a little cheese on top of each biscuit.

Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 12-15 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown on the edges and slightly gooey in the middle.

Serve: Allow the biscuits to cool slightly on the baking sheet before transferring them to a wire rack. Serve warm or at room temperature, and enjoy the gooey cheese experience!
