Ingredients

For the Biscuits:

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed

1 cup milk

1 cup fresh blueberries (or frozen, thawed)

For the Butter Swim:

1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick), melted

For the Glaze:

1 cup powdered sugar

2 tablespoons milk

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C) and prepare a 9x13 inch baking dish by greasing it lightly.

Prepare the Dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and granulated sugar. Whisk until well combined.

Cut in the Butter: Add the cold, cubed butter into the flour mixture. Use a pastry cutter or your fingertips to blend until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Add the Milk: Pour in the milk and gently stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix! Gently fold in the blueberries.

Create the Butter Swim Layer: Pour the melted butter into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly across the bottom.

Shape the Biscuits: Use a spoon or your hands to drop large spoonfuls (about 1/4 cup each) of the biscuit dough directly into the melted butter, evenly spaced apart.

Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 18-20 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the edges are bubbling.

Make the Glaze: While the biscuits are baking, prepare the glaze. In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Glaze the Biscuits: As soon as the biscuits come out of the oven, drizzle the glaze generously over the warm biscuits while they are still in the baking dish.

Cool and Serve: Allow the biscuits to cool for about 5 minutes in the dish, then serve warm for the best experience. Enjoy the gooey, buttery goodness with a burst of blueberry flavor!
