Ingredients

1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed

1 cup panko breadcrumbs

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Prepare the Green Beans: Rinse the green beans under cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel. Trim the ends and set aside.

Make the Coating: In a large bowl, combine panko breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.

Coat the Green Beans: In another bowl, toss the trimmed green beans with olive oil until well coated. Then, in batches, transfer the green beans to the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring they are evenly coated on all sides.

Arrange on Baking Sheet: Place the coated green beans in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Be sure not to overcrowd them to ensure they get crispy.

Roasting Time: Roast in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the green beans are golden brown and crispy. You may want to halfway through the cooking time to flip the green beans for even crispiness.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Transfer to a serving platter and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve hot as a delightful appetizer or side dish!
