Ingredients

1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup packed brown sugar

3 large eggs

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/4 teaspoon salt (plus extra for garnish)

1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a mini muffin tin with paper liners or grease with non-stick spray.

Melt the Butter and Chocolate: In a medium microwave-safe bowl, combine the unsalted butter and semi-sweet chocolate chips. Heat in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until completely melted and smooth.

Mix in Sugars: Stir in the granulated sugar and brown sugar into the melted chocolate mixture until well combined.

Add Eggs and Vanilla: Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then whisk in the eggs, one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the chocolate mixture until just combined—be careful not to over-mix.

Incorporate Nuts (Optional): If using, fold in the chopped walnuts or pecans gently.

Fill the Muffin Tin: Spoon the brownie batter into the prepared mini muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the tops look set and a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter).

Garnish with Sea Salt: Once out of the oven, sprinkle a tiny pinch of sea salt on top of each brownie bite while they’re still warm.

Cool and Serve: Allow the brownie bites to cool in the pan for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Serve warm or at room temperature. Enjoy!
