Ingredients

8 large eggs

1/2 cup whole milk

1 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese (plus more for topping)

1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives (optional)

1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough

1 tablespoon butter, melted

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.

Prepare the Biscuits: Open the canned biscuit dough and slice each biscuit into quarters. In a mixing bowl, toss the biscuit pieces with melted butter, garlic powder, and onion powder. Spread them evenly in the prepared baking dish, pressing them gently into the bottom.

Make the Egg Mixture: In a large bowl, crack the eggs and whisk them together. Add the whole milk, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until the mixture is thoroughly combined and frothy.

Scramble the Eggs: In a non-stick skillet over medium heat, cook the egg mixture, stirring gently with a spatula. Scramble the eggs until they're just set but still creamy and fluffy (they will continue to cook in the oven). Remove from heat.

Combine: Fold the shredded cheddar cheese and chives (if using) into the scrambled eggs. Pour the fluffy egg and cheese mixture evenly over the biscuit pieces in the baking dish.

Top and Bake: Sprinkle additional cheddar cheese over the top for extra flavor. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden and cooked through, and the egg mixture is fully set.

Cool and Serve: Once done, let the dish cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm, garnished with additional chives if desired.
