Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon sugar

1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed

3/4 cup buttermilk

1 lb chicken tenders

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust for spice preference)

1 cup hot honey (store-bought or homemade)

Fresh thyme leaves for garnish (optional)

Sliced pickles (for serving, optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Make the Biscuits: In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Add the cold butter and mix using a pastry cutter or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Pour in the buttermilk and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.

Shape the Biscuits: On a floured surface, turn the dough out and gently knead it a couple of times to bring it together. Pat it down to about 1-inch thickness. Use a round biscuit cutter to cut out biscuits and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

Bake the Biscuits: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.

Prepare the Chicken: While the biscuits are baking, season the chicken tenders with garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a drizzle of oil. Cook the chicken tenders for 4-5 minutes on each side until cooked through and golden brown.

Glaze the Chicken: Drizzle hot honey over the cooked chicken tenders, allowing it to caramelize slightly in the skillet for about 1 minute. Toss the chicken to ensure it is well coated.

Assemble the Biscuits: Split the warm biscuits in half. Place a piece of the glazed hot honey chicken on the bottom half, drizzle with more hot honey if desired, and top with fresh thyme leaves and pickles if using. Cover with the top half of the biscuit.

Serve Warm: Enjoy your Easy Hot Honey Chicken Biscuits while warm, perfect for a cozy dinner or brunch!

Homemade Hot Honey: Mix 1 cup honey with 1–2 tablespoons of red chili flakes and let it sit for several hours or overnight to infuse. Strain before use.
