Ingredients

2 cups cooked macaroni pasta

2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 cup cream cheese, softened

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs, beaten

1 cup breadcrumbs (panko preferred for extra crunch)

Cooking spray or olive oil for drizzling

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Mix Cheeses and Pasta: In a large bowl, combine the cooked macaroni pasta, sharp cheddar, mozzarella, Parmesan, and cream cheese. Stir until the cheeses are well distributed.

Season the Mixture: Add the garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and black pepper to the cheese-pasta mixture. Mix well until everything is nicely combined.

Form Balls: Using your hands, take about 2 tablespoons of the mixture and roll it into a ball. Repeat until all the mixture is shaped into balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

Set Up the Breading Station: Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and another with breadcrumbs.

Bread the Balls: Dip each mac and cheese ball first into the flour, ensuring it's fully coated, then into the beaten eggs, and finally roll in the breadcrumbs until evenly coated. Place them back onto the baking sheet.

Bake: Lightly spray the balls with cooking spray or drizzle with olive oil. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through.

Serve: Allow the mac and cheese balls to cool for a few minutes before serving with your favorite dipping sauces, such as marinara or ranch, for an extra burst of flavor!
