200g fresh mozzarella cheese, cut into small cubes

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs, beaten

1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp dried oregano

1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional for a hint of spice)

Salt and pepper, to taste

Vegetable oil, for frying

Marinara sauce, for dipping

Instructions
 

Prepare the Cheese: Take the cubed mozzarella and place it in the freezer for about 30 minutes. This will help keep the cheese from melting too quickly during frying.

    Set Up Breading Station: In one bowl, place the flour. In a second bowl, pour the beaten eggs. In a third bowl, mix the breadcrumbs, garlic powder, oregano, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.

      Coat the Cheese: Remove the mozzarella cubes from the freezer. Working one at a time, coat each cube in the flour, shaking off any excess. Then dip it into the beaten eggs before finally rolling it in the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring it is fully covered. Repeat until all the mozzarella cubes are coated.

        Heat the Oil: In a deep skillet or frying pan, heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). You can test it by dropping a small piece of bread into the oil: if it sizzles, it's ready.

          Fry the Bites: Carefully add a few mozzarella bites to the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry them for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and crispy. Use a slotted spoon to transfer them to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

            Serve: Arrange the crispy mozzarella stuffed bites on a serving platter and serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.
