1 small head of green cabbage (about 1 lb)

2 tablespoons vegetable oil (or any neutral oil)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

½ teaspoon sea salt (or to taste)

¼ teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon soy sauce (optional for extra flavor)

1 tablespoon sesame seeds

2 green onions, thinly sliced (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat for easy cleanup.

    Prepare the Cabbage: Remove the outer leaves of the cabbage and cut it into quarters. Remove the core and slice each quarter into thin strips, about 1/2 inch wide or less, to achieve optimal crispiness.

      Season the Cabbage: In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced cabbage with the vegetable oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, sea salt, black pepper, and soy sauce (if using). Toss well until all the cabbage pieces are evenly coated with the oil and seasonings.

        Spread on Baking Sheet: Spread the seasoned cabbage strips evenly on the prepared baking sheet. Ensure that the pieces are in a single layer and not overcrowded, as this will help them crisp up nicely.

          Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven. Bake for 12-15 minutes, then remove and stir the cabbage. Return to the oven and bake for another 10-12 minutes, or until the cabbage is golden brown and crispy. Keep an eye on them during the last minutes to prevent burning.
