Ingredients

8 oz fettuccine pasta

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 tbsp olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)

1 tsp Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Cook the Fettuccine: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water, and set aside.

Sauté the Shrimp: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the shrimp and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they are pink and cooked through. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

Prepare the Sauce: In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic.

Make it Creamy: Slowly add the heavy cream to the skillet, stirring constantly. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer and allow it to thicken slightly, about 3-4 minutes.

Add Cheese: Reduce the heat to low, then stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Stir until the cheese has melted and the sauce is creamy. If it's too thick, add some reserved pasta water until you reach your desired consistency.

Combine Everything: Add the cooked fettuccine and shrimp back into the skillet. Toss everything together until the pasta is well coated with the Alfredo sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve: Plate the creamy shrimp Alfredo pasta, garnishing with fresh parsley and a sprinkle of additional Parmesan cheese if desired. Serve with lemon wedges on the side for a zesty kick.
