Ingredients

8 oz fettuccine pasta

6 slices of bacon, chopped

3 cups fresh spinach

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons garlic, minced

1 tablespoon olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.

Cook the Bacon: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the chopped bacon. Cook until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the bacon and set aside on a paper towel-lined plate, leaving the bacon drippings in the skillet.

Sauté Spinach and Garlic: In the same skillet, add olive oil if needed (to maintain grease), then add the minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the fresh spinach and cook until wilted, about 2-3 minutes.

Make the Alfredo Sauce: Pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a gentle simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until smooth and creamy. If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.

Combine Ingredients: Return the cooked fettuccine and bacon to the skillet with the Alfredo sauce. Toss to combine everything evenly until the pasta is well coated in the creamy sauce.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve immediately, and enjoy your creamy delight!
