Ingredients

1 lb fresh strawberries (preferably large and ripe)

8 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips

4 oz white chocolate chips (optional for drizzling)

1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for a smoother chocolate)

1 teaspoon sea salt (for garnish)

1 teaspoon crushed nuts (e.g., almonds or hazelnuts, for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare Strawberries: Rinse the strawberries under cold water and gently pat them dry with a paper towel. Make sure they are completely dry, as any moisture can prevent the chocolate from adhering properly.

Melt Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips and 1 tablespoon of coconut oil. Heat in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth and fully melted. Be cautious not to overheat.

Dip Strawberries: Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip it into the melted chocolate, swirling to coat the entire berry. Allow any excess chocolate to drip off.

Set on Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place the dipped strawberries on the sheet, spaced apart so they don't touch.

Chill: Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 20 minutes to allow the chocolate to set.

Optional - White Chocolate Drizzle: While the strawberries are chilling, melt the white chocolate chips using the same method as above. After the dark chocolate has set, drizzle the melted white chocolate over the strawberries using a fork, allowing random patterns for decoration.

Garnish: After the final drizzle, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt and crushed nuts on top of each strawberry for an added crunch and flavor touch.

Final Chill: Return the strawberries to the refrigerator for another 10-15 minutes for the drizzle to set.

Serve: Once all chocolate has set firmly, serve your decadent chocolate-covered strawberry bites on a pretty platter. Enjoy immediately or store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
