1 cup raw almonds

1 cup pitted medjool dates

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/4 cup almond butter

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/4 tsp sea salt

1/4 cup shredded coconut (optional)

2 tbsp maple syrup or honey (optional for extra sweetness)

Instructions
 

Prep the Ingredients: Begin by soaking the pitted medjool dates in warm water for about 10 minutes to soften them, then drain. This will make them easier to blend.

    Blend the Nuts: In a food processor, add the raw almonds and pulse until they resemble coarse flour. Be careful not to over-process; you want a bit of texture.

      Add the Dates and Wet Ingredients: Add the soaked medjool dates, cocoa powder, almond butter, vanilla extract, and sea salt to the food processor. Blend until the mixture becomes sticky and holds together; you might need to scrape down the sides a couple of times.

        Taste and Adjust: At this point, taste the mixture. If you'd like it sweeter, add maple syrup or honey and blend briefly to combine.
