Ingredients
  

1 cup fresh blackberries

1 oz fresh lime juice (about 1 lime)

2 oz vodka

4 oz ginger beer

4 oz chilled champagne or sparkling wine

Fresh mint leaves (for garnish)

Ice cubes

Optional: extra blackberries and lime slices for garnish

Instructions
 

In a mixing glass, muddle the fresh blackberries with fresh lime juice until they release their juices and form a chunky puree.

    Add the vodka to the muddled mixture and stir well to combine.

      Fill a copper mug (or your preferred glass) with ice cubes.

        Pour the blackberry-vodka mixture over the ice, then top with ginger beer. Gently stir to mix.

          Carefully add the chilled champagne or sparkling wine over the top.
