Ingredients

For the Biscuit Crust:

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cubed

3/4 cup buttermilk

For the Sausage Gravy:

1 pound breakfast sausage, crumbled

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

2 cups whole milk

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon onion powder

Salt to taste

For Toppings:

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

2 large eggs

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven:

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

      Make the Biscuit Crust:

        - In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

          - Cut in the chilled butter using a pastry cutter or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

            - Stir in the buttermilk gradually until the dough comes together. Be careful not to overmix.

              - Turn the dough onto a floured surface and gently knead it a few times until smooth. Roll it out to fit your pizza stone or baking sheet (about ½ inch thick).

                Prepare the Sausage Gravy:

                  - In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the crumbled sausage until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess fat if necessary.

                    - Sprinkle the flour over the sausage and stir well. Continue cooking for about 2 minutes to eliminate the raw flour taste.

                      - Gradually whisk in the milk and bring to a simmer, stirring constantly until the gravy thickens (around 5–7 minutes). Season with black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt to taste.

                        Assemble the Pizza:

                          - Spread the sausage gravy evenly over the biscuit crust.

                            - Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.

                              - Create small wells for the eggs by making slight indentations in the gravy and cheese. Crack an egg into each well.

                                Bake the Pizza:

                                  - Place the assembled pizza into the preheated oven and bake for about 12–15 minutes or until the biscuit is cooked through and the egg whites are set (the yolks should remain runny if you prefer them that way).

                                    Garnish and Serve:

                                      - Once baked, remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool slightly.

                                        - Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before slicing into wedges.
