1/2 cup milk

For the Crisp Topping:

1/3 cup brown sugar

1/4 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

Prepare the Apples: In a medium bowl, combine the chopped apples, lemon juice, cinnamon, and brown sugar. Toss to coat and set aside to let the flavors meld.

Make the Cheesecake Layer: In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth. Add the egg, vanilla extract, and sour cream, mixing until well combined and creamy. Set aside.

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.

Prepare the Bread Batter: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In another large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Combine Dry and Wet Ingredients: Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Layer the Bread: Pour half of the bread batter into the prepared loaf pan. Spoon half of the cheesecake mixture over the batter, followed by half of the apples. Repeat with the remaining batter, cheesecake mixture, and apples, swirling gently to marble the layers.

Prepare the Crisp Topping: In a bowl, combine the rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, melted butter, and salt. Mix until crumbly. Sprinkle this topping evenly over the top of the loaf.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 55-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. If the top is browning too quickly, cover loosely with aluminum foil.

Cool: Once done, remove from the oven and allow to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

Serve: Enjoy your Apple Crisp Cheesecake Bread warm or at room temperature. A drizzle of caramel sauce or a dollop of whipped cream makes it even more delightful!
